David Cameron, new PM

With Nick Clegg as Deputy PM?!

The coalition isn't surprising, but this is a relatively high profile (though cabinet power is yet to be seen) for the marginalized Lib Dems, which means that Cameron probably had some serious competition with Labour over government formation. I want to discuss this more in a follow-up post tomorrow, but for now suffice it to say: congratulations Nick Clegg on winning more than expected. Now, can you make it work? And keep your MPs in line? How about not alienating your center-left electorate? Lib Dems better tread carefully...
